during the "14th five-year plan" period, gdaas has strengthened the layout around five major agricultural industries, including the biological seed industry, the prevention and control of major animal and plant epidemics, nutrition and health, the quality of cultivated land, intelligent agriculture, and creative agriculture, etc. with the principle of "strengthening advantages and bolstering weak spots" and the objective of "adjusting the structure and promoting the industry", 34 discipline teams in agricultural advantage industries have been selected, including 10 outstanding discipline teams and 24 emerging discipline teams. closely combining the research fields of the discipline teams with the frontiers of the disciplines, gdaas lays out the whole industry chain of the discipline teams, strives to form several discipline groups with outstanding advantages and transformation, and cultivates a batch of discipline leaders with high academic attainments and considerable influence at home and abroad, significantly enhancing the ability of scientific and technological innovation and industrial support.
